No Sonnet for Anne

You said write no sonnets at any time
Three stanzas: rhyme lines one, three and two, four
Ten syllables per line; last couplet rhymes
I wish I was up to such a fun chore

But sonnets are hard, not easy to write
No good at poems as I'm a normal guy
But a muse inspires me on this night
Were it possible, I think I could fly

If I were a poet I could express
The way I feel when I feel our lips touch
But when you leave I feel such great distress
Fear you'll come to your senses is too much

But I'm more likely to wear a bonnet
Then write a girl a beautiful sonnet

SONNET FOR ANNE

Each morning was a chance to see your face
The sound of your voice made me long for more
Walking the halls to be in the right place
Hoping I'd see you passing through the door

At the assemblies, I watched out for you
Saving a seat so you'd sit next to me
The moments that we talked brightened my view
You were all I thought a woman should be

I've watched from afar as you do it all
Raising two amazing girls on your own
There's no doubt in love any man would fall
My destiny with you surely seems sewn

I do not know why my wish has come true
But at last I can say that I...love...you

SONNET 3 FOR ANNE

You wonder how I'm able to love you
Yet you are perfect in every way
The very essence of a dream come true
A simple text from you brightens my day

I love that you laugh and bring me such joy
The way your eyes shine is beyond compare
You have renewed hope in this small town boy
An angel such as you, truly is rare

When I first saw you, 'twas love at first sight
And as the years passed, the feeling stayed strong
Nothing else has ever felt oh so right
Such heaven on Earth can never be wrong

So please do not doubt for it’s surely real
You may be scared, but I'm sure how I feel.

SONNET 4: HOW YOU AMAZE ME

To hear your laughter just makes my heart sing
Your serious side captivates my heart
Amazing mom that can do anything
Caring for others just sets you apart

Your long wavy hair and beautiful eyes
An amazing smile that brightens my day
Those long luscious legs and silky smooth thighs
I hang on each word your velvet lips say

The way you kiss me is second to none
How you tremble at the touch of my hand
When we make love it’s as if we are one
How it’s possible I don’t understand

Each day we grow closer; where will it end?
You are my soul, my lover and best friend

SONNET 5: THANKFUL

Your ocean blue eyes and long curly hair
A smile that sends my worries away
A face so pretty, i can't help but stare
I long to be with you every day

An amazing woman doing it all
Raising her two girls to be just as strong
Is it any wonder in love I fall
To love this much, this fast, can not be wrong

Your desire to help others in need
A fun flirty side I adore so much
Whatever you do, I know you'll succeed
You can heal my soul with a simple touch

For all that you are and all that you do
On this Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for you

SONNET 6: BIRTHDAY SONNET

To a wonderful woman on her day
May it be full of joy and big smiles
You’ve had such an impact in every way
To list them would fill a hundred files

Such a great mother and such a great friend
You deserve all the best I have to give
I pray that your love for me has no end
Without you I don’t know how I would live

Before you, I wanted to know true love
I had felt so very cold and alone
Then one day I saw you and like a glove
The perfect fit... I was finally home

Annie, I love you more than you could know
Just give me the chance and feel our love grow

SONNET 7: "I LOVE YOU" ISN'T ENOUGH

"I love you" can not express what I feel
I am overwhelmed by all that you do
Time spent with you can feel so surreal
Often I think you're too good to be true

When you are gone I can still smell your hair
To hear your sweet laughter brightens my day
When you are at home I wish I was there
And though you must leave, I wish you could stay

I love how I feel when you are around
I love all the times that you and I share
I'm so proud you're mine when out on the town
I need you to know I really do care.

"I love you" is not a strong enough phrase
But know I'll feel it the rest of my days
