I never knew that I could love like this
I never knew that I could feel so loved
And to think it all started with a kiss
Each day I give thanks to Heaven above

Going away, I will miss you so much
To tell you, I cannot even begin
And I know that when next I feel your touch
I will fall in love all over again

For you, I want to be a better man
To give you everything that you deserve
You always make me believe that I can
And so I'll strive with nothing in reserve

Sonnet 40: 10th Anniversay

I never knew love until I saw you
You captured my heart with only a smile

My heart sang in the hall as you walked through

10 years later we walked down the aisle

I remember our first kiss - I was shy

I remember holding you - perfection 

Letting you go,  I felt like I would die

My life took on a whole new direction

A lot’s happened in 10 wonderful years,

Good and bad but together we made it

Sometimes I get irrational fears 

But then you hold me and the bad thoughts quit

I’m so happy that you are in my life

I wish she knew how beautiful she looks Her hair, her eyes, her lips - she’s so stunning On a date or just home reading some books I think of her and smile, even when running

I wish she knew just how much I love her

Longing to become the man she deserves

Striving to give all I can deliver

No appreciation held in reserve

I wish she knew how happy she makes me

Her kindness and caring are so healing 

I never knew this is what love could be

When I hold her my senses are reeling
